MiniMote

    PRODUCT OVERVIEW
To make gaming as accessible to people of all ages and abilities, snakebyte™ has created a controller that can be used by people with small hands and assures them the same control, comfort and game play as those with larger hands.

The MiniMote is 25% smaller than the original Wii™ Remote, is ergonomically designed to provide a more comfortable grip and is Wii™ MotionPlus compatible. An external SYNC button is on the face of the controller allows for convenient synchronization, and four LED lights along the bottom indicate which player position the remote is in.

Equally comfortable whether you’re right handed or left handed, the face of the remote includes a “D” or plus pad, a large “A” button used for major on-screen actions and two smaller option buttons. Below the “A” button are “plus” and “minus” buttons (which often act as forward or back) as well as a “Home” button to engage the Wii™ home screen to change settings or check remote battery levels. On the back side of the controller is a trigger-like “B” button.

Available in blue or red, battery life is excellent with the use of two “AAA” batteries, and the controller comes with a matching strap. For such a small controller, the MiniMote is extremely sturdy, guaranteeing countless hours of gaming fun!

The feeling of the controller is very solid even for it’s small size. The MiniMote is a great fit for kids or those of us with smaller hands who prefer a smaller scale controller http://www.takesontech.com/review-snakebyte-minimote-for-wii

It may sound somewhat strange but the shorter body actually helps make it feel like you have better control with the unit because there is no weight past my hands versus the longer first party Wiimote.

    Platform Nation
I like the MiniMote and will use it for all of my Wii gaming – that is – whenever I can get it away from my 4 year old son. He absolutely loves it and has claimed it as his own– so we both recommend it highly http://www.platformnation.com/2011/02/10/snakebyte-minimote-for-wii-review/

    BSC Kids
I wish I had one of these for my first child when he started gaming on the the Wii.  Now that we do have a snakebyte MiniMote for the Wii, my second son is benefiting greatly from the reduced size and weight.  http://www.bsckids.com/2011/01/kid-friendly-snakebyte-minimote-for-wii-highlight/

    ReviewFix
snakebyte USA has made a wiimote that is perfect for small children and even gamers with small hands, without reducing the ease and quality of the standard wiimote. Continuing to make top of the line third-party peripherals, Snakebyte’s Minimote is a must own for any wii-owning family with small children.  http://reviewfix.com/2010/12/no-small-feat-for-new-minimote/

    The Gamers Hub
snakebyte´s new controller feels much nicer than Nintendo's. After letting some smaller hands have a go, it proved a greater asset and better play with the Minimote than the Wii's. Rating: 4/5  http://usa.snakebyte-europe.com/container-products/products/wii/minimote/

"By putting this to the test against the official Nintendo controller, we found that children would much rather prefer using the MiniMote. Not only does this fit more comfortably in their hands, but the design has been improved to cater for the younger generation. With a blue and red MiniMote having been released, boys will much rather go for a controller like this rather than a larger, more dull-looking white version. Rating: 9.1 / 10” ¬–

    Game Radio
Priced at $29.99 you just can't go wrong with the MiniMote. Despite my big hands I found it surprisingly easy to operate the remote. At least snakebyte added some color to the 3rd-party market and not just in terms of visual aspects. Lots of little modifications compared to the original set the MiniMote apart from its competition. Rating: Outstanding – Game Radio Award

    FAQ & Support

My MiniMote does not work correctly at all - what's wrong with it?

Turn off your Wii® console and turn it on again immediately. Make sure your MiniMote Controller is either synched in permanent (STANDARD) or temporary (ONE TIME) mode to the console.

My game seems to receive input signals although I do not even touch the controller - what is happening?

Make sure your IR sensor bar (e.g. the snakebyte Wireless Sensor Bar) is placed directly in the line of sight either on top of or below your TV when playing. Also pay attention to the maximum operating distance of the MiniMote Controller. Depending on the sensor bar in use this distance may vary. Try to stay within 15 feet of the sensor bar and console while playing to ensure optimal performance and precision.

My MiniMote Controller's precision and reliability seem to decrease - help!

Please make sure that the inserted batteries are not too weak. Replace weak or old batteries with fresh ones (always replace both batteries!) and try again to restore optimal performance.

My MiniMote's pointer moves erratically on the screen - how can I stop that?

Please make sure that the sensor bar’s position matches the console’s setting. Furthermore, you should make sure that there are no interference between the MiniMote Controller’s wireless Bluetooth connection and other wireless devices operating in the 2.4 GHz wave band such as Wi-Fi routers.

Ideally no devices operating in the same room as the Wii™ console and MiniMote controller should emit radio waves that could potentially interfere with the MiniMote signal transfer.

Avoid insulation and other intense light sources behind the TV set and sensor bar in order to maintain the optimal detection of the sensor bar’s infrared LED by the MiniMote Controller’s camera. Other sources of infrared light such as candles also cause incorrect detection; avoid placing such light sources within the MiniMote Controller’s camera range. Furthermore, pay attention to the sensor bar’s correct sensitivity setting in your Wii™ console’s option menu.

In case the problem still persists, please restart your Wii™ console and re-sync your MiniMote Controller. In many cases pointing the MiniMote Controller off-screen for a few seconds solves the problem.

My MiniMote seems to be incompatible with certain accessories - why?

Compatibility with all 3rd party accessories cannot be guaranteed. This especially refers to charging docks and their respective battery packs. Furthermore, incompatibilities with Nintendo® accessories may also occur due to slight differences with button layout and/or shape, or the slightly different shape of the MiniMote Controller’s housing. You should keep in mind that this product is not a copy of Nintendo’s Wii™ Remote.

Can I connect the MotionPlus add-on to my MiniMote?

The snakebyte MiniMote Controller is compatible with the original Wii™ MotionPlus and snakebyte MotionPlus adapter. As the MiniMote Controller is 25% smaller than a normal remote, the fit of the MotionPlus adapter may differ. The MotionPlus adapter will be slightly broader than the MiniMote Controller.
